Senior Christian Carvis can add record setter to his long list of accolades.

Anybody that knows Saucon Valley senior football co-captain Christian Carvis well is aware of his focused intensity and determination. Christian has been playing football that way since he was seven years old. This tenacious approach has rewarded Christian with All-League, All-Area and All-State honors for the 2015 season.

Not only has Christian been recognized for those supreme achievements, but he has also become part of the history books here at Saucon Valley. The 2015 season brought Christian 82 tackle-assists, bringing his total career assists to 129. Both are Saucon Valley school records.

Still making his plans to major in business and continue his football career in college, Christian was asked to share his most memorable play of the celebrated 2015 football season. “Either my hit on Antwon Keenan in the BECA game when Mike Paolini swept his legs out and I finished it, or in the Wilson game when I knocked the kid’s helmet off,” is what he recalled.

There is no doubt that Saucon Football is going to miss the leadership and hard-nosed efforts of Christian. It is equally obvious that Carvis is going to miss Saucon football as well. Carvis noted he is most fond of “the coaches and atmosphere of the whole program. Two-a-day practices in particular, because you become so much closer with your teammates.” Christian also shared that he especially appreciated “Coach Chromczak’s house every Sunday (for film review and brunch) and wondering what’s going to come out of Cody’s (Zrinski) mouth next.”

Asked to share some insight to his success as advice for future Panther players, Christian said, “Hard work and dedication to the program are most important. Make it about the team and not about yourself. Keep working your [tail] off to make yourself a better football player and it will pay off in the end.”

A special Saucon Source salute goes out to record-setting linebacker Christian Carvis. He is one of many great pieces that led to the success of the fabled 2015 Saucon Valley Panthers football program.

Good luck Christian with all of your future endeavors! The Source is with you.
