Saucon Hometown Hero: Nathan Harka (Nominated by Carol Schneider)

Saucon Valley record setting receiver Nate Harka
Nate Harka was a record-setting receiver for the Saucon Valley football team in 2015.

I would like to nominate Saucon Valley senior Nathan Harka. Nathan is an outstanding 3-sport athlete (football, wrestling and baseball)–and has been for years–along with being an honor roll student. He is a strong positive role model for younger students and our community. He has volunteered for the Saucon Valley Elementary Book Fair and has spent countless hours helping with the Saucon Valley Youth Sports Snack Bar (not an easy task at times). He has committed to play football for Kutztown University in the fall. Nate’s parents should be proud (and I know they are!). They say it takes a village to raise a child… I’m glad to be one person in this big village to be a small part of his life!

Congratulations, Nate!
