Lower Saucon Township Police said Thursday that five motorists were stopped and cited for allegedly speeding on Rt. 378 Wednesday between 6 and 8 a.m.

The citations were issued as part of an aggressive driving detail, police said in a news release about the citations.

Wednesday’s police detail on Rt. 378 in Lower Saucon was the second in as many weeks.

Earlier this month township police said they issued citations for speeding, failure to obey traffic control signals, improper passing, expired inspection and faulty equipment during a five-hour enforcement effort.
