Jeffrey D. Cooper (1953 – 2026)

Jeffrey D. Cooper, 72, of Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus. He was the beloved husband of Donna L. (Henn) Cooper, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Born in Bethlehem on June 5, 1953, Jeffrey was the son of the late Donald C. Cooper and Bernice A. (Fox) Cooper. He was a 1971 graduate of Saucon Valley School. Jeffrey built a distinguished career in health care insurance and administration for 35-plus years. He was the COO of Carolina Summit Health Care in Raleigh, N.C. He did similar work for other health care companies. Jeffrey concluded his career working for Oscar Health in New York City, which was a startup, technology-first, user-friendly health insurance company. He was a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, earning a degree in psychology and mathematics in 1975. In the early 1990s, he furthered his professional development by completing the Executive Management Program at Columbia University. In 2010, he was recognized as an alumnus of Tech Valley Leadership, a program of the Albany-Colonie and Schenectady Chambers of Commerce. Jeffrey was an avid golfer who also enjoyed biking and skiing. He generously gave his time volunteering at the Lehigh University Golf Range.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sisters: Donna L. (Peter) Kish of Bethlehem; Judy S. (Frank) Wenrich of Mohnton; and Cindy A. Cooper of Bethlehem; as well as nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

SERVICES
