What’s Open/Closed on MLK Day?
Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year is Monday, Jan. 19.
MLK Day is a federal holiday, which means federal government offices and courthouses will be closed, along with most local and state government offices. Here is a list of what will be closed in the Saucon Valley area:
- Borough of Hellertown offices – OPEN
- Lower Saucon Township offices – OPEN
- Saucon Valley schools – CLOSED
- Hellertown Area Library – CLOSED
- U.S. post offices – CLOSED (no mail delivery)
- PA wine and spirits stores – CLOSED
- PA Department of Motor Vehicles centers – CLOSED (also closed Jan. 17)
- Banks – CLOSED (most banks will be closed; call your bank for confirmation)
- Northampton County offices/courts – CLOSED
- State offices/courts – CLOSED
