Lower Saucon Township Police say a township man was charged with theft by deception for allegedly taking $5,350 from an Apple Street resident for work that he didn’t complete.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Carl F. Kemmerer, of the 3800 block of Beeline Drive, was paid the money to install Rhino lining insulation and a steel roof at the home.

Kemmerer “never completed the work,” police said.
