See ‘Pippin’ at Saucon Valley High School

In association with the Saucon Valley Performing Arts Association and the Saucon Valley School District, the musical Pippin will be performed in the auditorium at Saucon Valley High School, Hellertown, Feb. 26-28 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m.

A Tony Award-winning musical that first premiered in 1972, Pippin features lyrics and music by Stephen Schwartz. According to its Wikipedia entry, “the musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.”

Tickets are now on sale at Pondelek’s Florist & Gifts, 1310 Main St., Hellertown, where they can be purchased with cash or by check. Tickets are $10 for adults or $8 for students and senior citizens. Tickets for all performances will also be sold at the door.
