Promenade Shops Hosting ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Weekend

Fans of the erotic bestseller “Fifty Shades of Grey” by E. L. James may want to attend a series of events that will be held at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley this weekend to coincide with the much-anticipated release of the film version.

The movie version of “Grey” starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will premiere Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Carmike Cinemas Promenade 16 + IMAX at the Promenade Shops.

In conjunction with that, participating stores and restaurants in the Upper Saucon Township lifestyle center will be offering a variety of deals for those who present a ticket stub throughout Valentine’s Day weekend.

Among the special events planned in connection with the movie premiere are:

  • Fifty Shades of Grey Premiere Party on Level 3 at Melt featuring $6 specialty cocktails, Happy Hour appetizers and a fashion display inspired by the film and featuring clothing from Banana Republic and White House | Black Market from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 12
  • Ladies Night Out featuring shopping perks at American Eagle, Francesca’s Collections, Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory, Soma and Starbucks from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13
  • Make It A Date Valentine’s Day deals at American Eagle, Carmike Cinemas, Francesca’s Collections, Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory and Soma, all day, Saturday, Feb. 14

Additional specials will be offered at various other Promenade Shops stores all weekend.
