Richard P. Reccek Jr. (1966 – 2026)

Richard P. Reccek Jr., 59, of Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth M. (Heins) Reccek, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Born in Allentown on Aug. 22, 1966, he was the son of Jean Ann (Schoenenberger) Reccek of Bethlehem and the late Richard Paul Reccek Sr. Richard worked for many years as a trash truck driver in the waste management industry. During his career, he was employed by Republic Services, Senetti Sanitation, Christman Sanitation and Waste Management. He was a big fan of country music and especially enjoyed artists such as Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert and Shania Twain. Richard loved going to the beach, spending time outdoors and watching NASCAR.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his children: Nathan (Christine) Hoffner of Kunkletown and Jessica Reccek (Ryan Hoopert) of Lancaster. He is also survived by his brothers: William (Tara) Reccek Sr. of Bethlehem and Robert (Cindy) Reccek of Steel City. Richard was a proud grandfather to Chase, Cora, Ellie and Oliver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES
Close immediate family and friends are invited to his visitation period call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The visitation period will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelman’s immediately following the graveside service.
