Katherine (Benner) Mease Wingert, 80, of Bethlehem Twp. (OBITUARY)

Katherine (Benner) Mease Wingert, 80, of Bethlehem Township died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Peter J. Wingert (died Sept. 20, 1985). She was born in Springfield Township on Dec. 11, 1934 to the late Ralph Benner and Mabel (Judd) Benner Tomanchek and her late husband John Tomanchek. Kathy was a secretary/receptionist for District Magistrate Liz Romig and had also worked at Bethlehem Steel. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Farmersville. She was also an avid bowler.

SURVIVORS

Children: Rickey L. (Maria R.) Mease of Northampton, David A. (Cheri L.) Mease of Bethlehem Township, Lynn J.W. (Vincent G.) Spina of Bethlehem Township; brother: Kermit (Mildred) Benner of Macungie; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister: Joanne Quier.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
