Richard A. Hercik, 68, of Steel City, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Michelle M. (Shimko) Hercik. He was born in Fountain Hill on Jan. 2, 1947 to Mary (Smorey) Hercik of Bethlehem and the late Frank Hercik. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, serving in the 2nd Armored Division Hell on Wheels in 1969. Richard owned and operated the former Seisholtzville Hotel, Macungie. He was also a carpenter and restoration specialist in the construction industry. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife of 18 years; mother; children: Angela (Joseph) Musike of Bear, Del., Jonathan of Breinigsville, Emily R. at home; brothers: Francis (Bonnie) in Florida, Robert (Gwen) of Fountain Hill, Dennis (Cathy) of Allentown; grandchildren: Nathan and Nicholas Musike.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
