Car’s Bumper Damaged in Parking Lot Hit-and-Run, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are hoping to identify the driver they say hit a car in the parking lot of Giant Food Store, 1880 Leithsville Road, and then drove off without reporting the accident.

In a news release issued Wednesday, police said the hit-and-run accident was reported Saturday at 2:45 p.m.

The Lower Saucon Township man whose car was hit told police someone struck his vehicle’s passenger side bumper while backing out or pulling into the space next to his.

Citing paint transfer evidence, police said the offending vehicle is believed to be white or grey, and possibly a sedan.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
