Donald H. Mench, 74, of Springfield Township died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. He was the husband of Carol A. (Zimpfer) Mench. Donald was born in Springfield Township on June 19, 1940 to the late Warren R. and Clara E. (Benner) Mench. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Donald worked for Frank B. Saylor Construction Co. for four years; Homer Research Center, Bethlehem Steel, in maintenance for 20 years; and was self-employed in lawn care for 11 years. He loved working with old-time gas engines and on his cars.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 51 years; son: Mark W. (Cynthia A.) of Quakertown. He was predeceased by a daughter: Kim Louise Mench (March 14, 1989) and a sister: Lorraine F. Martin (March 23, 2015).
SERVICE
