Heroin Found During Rt. 378 Traffic Stop, Police Say

A Springfield Township, Bucks County man has been charged after police say 14 wax paper packets–some of which allegedly contained heroin–were found in his possession following a Rt. 378 traffic stop in Lower Saucon Township Saturday.

According to a news release issued by township police Monday, Craig Thomas, 27, of the 1700 block of Rt. 212, was stopped at 1:07 a.m. for a vehicle code violation.

“During the stop drug paraphernalia was observed inside the vehicle,” police said. “K9 Atos was used to search the vehicle and a total of 14 wax/paper packets were located, some of which contained heroin.”

Police said charges against Thomas have been filed by mail.
