Est. Read Time: 2 mins

Saucon Source is hopefully your number one online local information source, but there are other useful online resources to use when you need to know about what’s going on in the area.laptop-820274_1280

Here’s a brief list of them. If you know of another good one, please tell us. Thanks!

  1. Hellertown borough website: The borough’s website includes a community calendar that lists upcoming meetings and events; a borough news section; council meeting agendas and minutes; borough ordinances; property tax information; and an online bill payment portal. The borough’s Facebook page is also a useful resource that provides area residents with updates on road work, upcoming events and even job openings.
  2. Lower Saucon Township website: The township’s website includes a monthly calendar that lists upcoming meetings and events; township news on the homepage as well as a news archive; real estate tax information; an online bill payment portal; information about the Saucon Valley Compost Center; the township’s thrice-yearly newsletter; and township ordinances. You can also register to receive email notifications and emergency alerts from Lower Saucon Township.
  3. Hellertown Area Library website: The HAL website features the library’s catalog; the library’s calendar of events (color-categorized according to family, teen, children and adult); links to various library e-resources; and library borrowing policies. You can also subscribe to the library’s monthly newsletter by submitting your name and email address via the homepage.
  4. The Hellertown, Pennsylvania Facebook group: This is a closed Facebook group about the Hellertown area, which means you must submit a request to be added. Once you’re a member, you can post information as well as read and comment on others’ posts, ask your own questions, etc.
  5. Saucon Valley Athletics on Twitter: Stay up to date on Panther sports all year-round by following the district athletic department’s official Twitter feed. Game information, final scores, announcements, photos and more are posted.

Of course you can also like Saucon Source on Facebook, and follow us on Instagram and Twitter. And many Saucon Valley businesses and organizations have their own social media pages that they update regularly with lots of useful information, so be sure to search for them when you are online. Some local, Saucon Valley business Facebook pages managed by Saucon Source include Bella’s Ristorante, Cafe Erica, B&B Pools, Saucon Valley Insurance Services, Maui Kitchens, Vassi’s Drive-In and Sure-Fix Remodeling.
