Legion to Host New Year’s Eve Party

Hellertown’s American Legion Post 397 will host a New Year’s Eve party in its recently reopened ballroom that will feature a live band, a land and sea buffet and a midnight champagne toast.

Are you still figuring out how you’re going to ring in the year 2016?

If you want to stay close to home, Hellertown’s American Legion Post 397 will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party in its recently reopened ballroom that will feature a live band, a land and sea buffet and a midnight champagne toast.

The buffet will feature appetizers (crudites, assorted cheeses, bruschetta with crostini, herb-roasted bell pepper trio, Italian meats, international olives, caprese salad and more); hand-carved tender loin of sirloin steak; 4 oz. Brazilian lobster tail with drawn butter; Yukon gold mashed potatoes, winter vegetable medley, pasta with vodka blush sauce and Chicken Breast ala Marsala; and a hand-crafted dessert display, along with coffee or tea.

The Springtown Inn and Chef Harry Cregar III are the caterers for the event.

Entertainment will be provided by the Smith Compound Band.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., hors d’oeuvres will begin at 7 p.m., dinner will be served at 8 p.m. and the band will begin playing at 9 p.m.
