The Art Establishment in Fountain Hill will host an art show for artists with special needs in March.
The Art Establishment announced in a news release Feb. 11 that it will host Special Visions, which will showcase the work of school-aged artists with special needs from the Lehigh Valley and celebrate their impressive creative accomplishments.
“All human beings need to express themselves creatively, but not everyone gets the chance,” said studio owner Tom Flynn. “This is an opportunity for all to see the unique vision of some very special artists. Having the artists see their work displayed in a gallery validates their vision and gives them a real sense of accomplishment and confidence.”
The show is being held in March, which is Disability Awareness Month, to help highlight the talent, creativity and abilities of some local artists who just happen to have special needs.
An opening reception will be held Saturday, March 5 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., with the show running through March 31.
The Art Establishment, located at 945 Broadway in Fountain Hill, is on a mission to enable artists who are rich in passion but lack space, resources and support. This community-centered venue is equipped with a printing press, potter’s wheels, kilns, B&W darkroom and easels. Please call 610-807-9201 and visit the business’s Facebook page for more information.
