Everybody can use a little bit of culture in their lives. However, it is not always convenient to attend such events. Well, Saucon Valley art teachers Arianne Schnalzer (elementary school), Felicia Parrish (middle school) and Jason Gordon (high school) have pulled their resources to make it possible for the Saucon Valley community to take part and witness a little art.
The collaboration between the teachers led to the Saucon Valley School District hosting its first annual unified art show. It will be held Wednesday night in the high school science wing from 5-7 p.m. K-12 student artwork ranging from drawings and paintings to graphic design and sculptures along with mixed media and photography will be on display for all to see.
All students from the elementary and middle schools will have at least one piece of their artwork on display. Some middle schoolers will have multiple pieces that will be showcased.
At the high school level, only those students who are currently taking an art course will have their work displayed.
Some senior Art students will have entire panels dedicated to their works. The panels line both sides of the hallway extending the entire length of the science wing and onto the bridge that connects the high school to the middle school.
In all there will be an estimated 1,500 pieces to enjoy. The entire community is welcome to come out for the night and celebrate the Arts. Light refreshments will be served.
