In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Bruce Edelman, 55, of the 1400 block of Main Street, took the car owned by a 46-year-old Bath woman while it was parked in the 2000 block of Schwab Avenue, Steel City, on Saturday afternoon.

Edelman does not have a valid driver’s license, police said, and was found at the Freeman House bar, 30 Main St., Freemansburg–about six tenths of a mile from his departure point–where the car was allegedly parked in the lot.

Edelman is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving without a license, police said.
