Woman Arrested on Warrant Had Marijuana, Cocaine in Car, Police Say

A Poconos woman was arrested on an active warrant issued by the Allentown Police Department following a July 3 traffic stop on Mountain Drive, when she was allegedly found to be in possession of both marijuana and cocaine, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Friday.

A Poconos woman was arrested on an active warrant issued by the Allentown Police Department following a July 3 traffic stop on Mountain Drive, when she was allegedly found to be in possession of both marijuana and cocaine, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Friday.

According to police, Shannon Henry, 23, of the 100 block of Forsythia Lane, Kunkletown, Monroe County, was stopped at 11:50 p.m. for alleged traffic violations.

An officer detected the odor of marijuana “emitting from within the vehicle,” police said, and allegedly found the drugs along with drug-related paraphernalia in Henry’s possession.

According to online court records, the charges Henry was wanted on in Allentown are possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is now also facing possession/paraphernalia charges in Lower Saucon Township, police said.
