A well-known Hellertown restaurant that reopened with a new look late last year is now listed for sale.

Sagra Bistro, which is located at 620 Main Street in the heart of the downtown business district, is described as a “turn-key restaurant opportunity” for a new owner.

It is owned by Robyn Cavallaro and Jim Zebert and known for its modern American menu, featuring items such as Bubble burgers and a $15 nightly filet mignon special.

“If you have ever dreamed of opening your own restaurant this is the opportunity of a lifetime,” a description on a custom real estate website for the restaurant reads. “You can literally close on the deal Monday and open for business on Tuesday with customers. No worries about building a clientele…we have done that for you.”

Sagra Bistro was completely remodeled in 2015 after a car accident forced its closure for a period of several months.

The first floor of Sagra Bistro was aglow on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, when the restaurant hosted a "soft opening" in advance of its official Dec. 1 grand reopening. (FILE PHOTO)

A new bar, flooring, entrance, fire suppression system, a 12×12 foot walk-in cooler, a patterned concrete parking lot and other features were then installed or upgraded.

Robyn Cavallaro said the decision to sell was not an easy one, after being in business in the Hellertown community since 2008 and building the unique Sagra brand–which is not for sale–since 2004.

However, she and Zebert are no longer married, and her children live in Florida, so she wants to relocate to be closer to them, she said.

“We don’t have to sell it. We want to sell it,” Cavallaro stressed. “We’re not looking to sell it in a fire sale. It’s not anything that’s (going to) happen overnight.”

The restaurant has seating for more than 100 guests on two floors. The second floor features a private dining room for up to 45 guests and the first floor features a 14-seat bar along with table and booth seating in an intimate atmosphere.

The restaurant’s liquor license is also for sale.

Cavallaro said the “restaurant looks amazing,” business is brisk, and leaving behind a group of loyal clientele who have become friends will be the most difficult thing about moving on to the next chapter in her life.

“Hellertown’s been very good to us,” she said. “We’ve got some great, very loyal customers. That’s the bittersweet part about this.”

According to online real estate records, the entire building is 3,428 square feet in size and situated on a nearly 6,000 square foot lot. It was built in 1800 and was last sold for $205,500 in February 2009.

For more information about the business, call 484-851-3220 or fill out the contact form on the custom real estate page.

There is also a Facebook page for the listing that features interior photos and videos, such as the one below.

The listing price for the restaurant is undisclosed on the CBRE website, where it is listed for sale by broker Jody King.
