Lower Saucon Township Police are hoping members of the public can help them identify a man they say tried to steal cash from a tip jar at Dunkin Donuts, 3655 Rt. 378, Monday afternoon shortly before 2:30 p.m.
In a news release issued Friday police said officers responded to the store after there was a “911 hang-up.”
The clerk on duty–a Bethlehem man–told them that while he had his back turned to the counter, a “shorter Hispanic male” tried to take money out of the jar, police said.
When the clerk confronted the alleged thief, police said he reportedly gave the employee “a hard time and left the store” in a silver Honda.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
