My name is Pollie but anyone who has been around for awhile may remember me as little Kenna. Yep, I was adopted from this very shelter when I was just a pup.
Things went well and I had a good life, but due to situations beyond my control, my good friend Daisy and I have ended up here. We are both really good dogs. We lived with well-behaved children, cats, and of course each other. It would have been wonderful to go home together but we knew there would be a slim chance of that and I am really happy that Daisy found another nice family to live with. I have a nice family too, but it’s only a foster family, because they have several other dogs and really can’t keep another one. I am happy to be here though until I find a home of my own again. I am a big girl and my leash manners are decent. Although I am very shy, I warm up quickly enough to the ladies, if they are nice to me, but men still intimidate me. I’m never a nasty girl, but I do shy away from men. Nobody is sure why, but they do frighten me. Slow and steady and constant socialization will be the key to bringing me around, and my foster dad isn’t giving up just yet. While I’m loving my foster mom, he keeps trying to let me know that he loves me too and I hope one day, whether it’s with him or another nice gentleman, I will truly believe that and want to love him, too. If you would like to meet me, contact the Center and they will hook you up with my foster mom. Then we can meet and get to know each other. See ya soon!
