Saturday was Week 7 for Saucon Valley youth football and cheerleading. This week, the Saucon Valley Little Panthers welcomed the Notre Dame Little Crusaders to Dimmick Park.
The Saucon Valley youth coaches have again volunteered to recognize the efforts of some boys and girls participating on their teams. This recognition is a fun and special way for the coaches to show their appreciation and gratitude for the hard work and dedication the boys and girls invest in the football and cheer programs. Saucon Source is proud to be partnering with the youth coaches and sharing these accomplishments with you!
SV youth football offers “Panther Pride” awards, while cheering will choose girls for “Panther Spirit” awards.
THIS WEEK THE SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON………..

Game Summary: The 110’s scored first and scored last against the visiting Notre Dame ‘Lil Crusaders. They also scored three times in between as the Panthers ran to a 34-7 victory. Constantine Donahue not only scores touchdowns running the football, but he is also a weapon in the Panther kicking game. The 110s are definitely playoff-bound.

130 POUNDERS (2-4)
Game Summary: The 130s played hard for the entire game but came up a little short against the much bigger Notre Dame Crusaders. The Panthers got bit by the fumble-bug coughing up the ball twice while deep in Crusader territory. Notre Dame was able to capitalize and control the ball most of the game. The Panthers did answer ND’s first score when Brent Malick scored on a beautifully executed screen pass making it 6-6 at halftime. Notre Dame was able to sustain another long drive and scored a second touchdown making it 12-6, even though Andy Kehs was causing trouble in the Crusader backfield. Saucon tried to answer when reserve quarterback Travis Riefenstahl came in for an injured Anthony Orlemann and completed three passes. Two of his throws targeted Jake Clements and the other went to Brent Malick. With no timeouts he was also able to scramble out of bounds for a short gain and stop the clock. Rief was able to guide the team down to the Crusader 18 yard line, but unfortunately time ran out on the Panthers.
- Panther Pride: Andy Kehs and Travis Riefenstahl
- Panther Spirit: Alycia Hooper, McKenzie Kichline and Lana Melo
