Paula M. Michal-Johnson, 67, of Fountain Hill, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of David L. Johnson. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on Oct. 7, 1949 to the late James Franklin and Mildred Mae (Travis) Smithson. Paula was a Reiki teacher, owning and operating Classical Reiki of Pennsylvania. She was a Shihan in Jikiden Reiki. Paula received a Ph.D. in organizational communication from the University of Denver in 1981. She had been a professor of communication at Texas A&M University, Lehigh University and Villanova University, with specialties in organizational and health communication.
SURVIVORS
In addition to her loving husband of 33 years; daughters: Elisabeth Johnson of Washington, D.C., Gwendolyn L. Rehrig of Somerset, N.J.; siblings: Floyd G. Smithson of Citrus Heights, Calif., Lena F. Smithson of Henrietta, Texas. She was predeceased by a brother: Lloyd D. Smithson.
