Lower Saucon Township Police are advising area residents not to leave valuables in plain sight inside parked cars–even if they’re locked–after a woman’s purse was reported stolen from the back seat of her parked car outside Maxx Fitness in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center on Rt. 378 Tuesday afternoon.

In a news release Wednesday, police said the Bethlehem woman reported that her car window was “smashed out” and the purse–which contained a wallet–missing.

The theft occurred sometime between 1:20 and 3 p.m., and anyone with information about it is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
