Just in time for the start of a long holiday weekend (for most), the National Weather Service says there will be a chance for freezing rain and icy roads Friday night.
In a hazardous weather outlook issued Thursday, the NWS said there could be “a period of light freezing rain…Friday night after midnight into Saturday morning, which may cause hazardous driving conditions during this period of the holiday travel weekend.”
Friday night’s low temperature is forecast to be 32 degrees, which would make roads just cold enough for any precipitation that falls to freeze.
High temperatures Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are expected to be in the mid 40s, with sunny skies on Sunday.
