Carol A. Riffert, 75, of Lower Macungie Township passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was the wife of Malcolm W. ‘Mick’ Riffert.

Carol A. Riffert, 75, of Lower Macungie Township passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017.  She was the wife of Malcolm W. “Mick” Riffert. She was born in Phillipsburg, N.J., on June 19, 1941 to the late Carl and Mary (Frey) Kressler. Carol was a secretary in the Economics Department at Lafayette College, Easton for 27 years. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Easton, a professional clarinet player for the Earl Held All Girls Orchestra, an avid bowler and a member of Lafayette Retirees.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her loving husband of 54 years; daughters: Melinda J. (David L.) Guffy of Allentown, Alison J. (Robert Geoffrey) Brunner of Allentown; sister: Jean (Glen) Lerch of Grant, Mich.; and grandchildren: Rachel and David A. Guffy, Quincy Brunner. She was predeceased by a brother: Edward.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 2 p.m. The interment will conclude services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Springfield Township.
