The Hellertown Borough Authority has announced that it will conduct its annual spring water system flushing starting Monday, April 17.

Daily flushing from fire hydrants will begin at approximately 8 a.m. and continue until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for two weeks.

Generally the flushing will begin in the vicinity of the Saucon Valley School District campus and move northward through the borough.

If customers notice discolored water they should run their cold water to help clear the lines and avoid using hot water, as it will pull debris into their hot water heater.

If customers have any questions about the flushing, they should contact the Hellertown Borough Authority office during business hours at 610-838-8051.
