Coach Ochse’s “Kick-Arounds” were Great Fun for SV Kids

During Wednesday evenings throughout June the Saucon Valley soccer fields were painted with a lot of pink belonging to the bright, smiling faces of girls who came together for Stevie Ochse’s first ever “Kick Around”. Coach Ochse provided a series of free clinics geared toward female soccer players in grades 1-6.
42 energetic girls registered and took advantage of the program that was divided into two sessions. The earlier session was reserved for girls entering grades 1-3. The later session was available to those who were a little older and a little more advanced with their skills. Whatever session was running, it was clear that it was a whole lot of fun!
With the help of about fifteen of her former and current players, Coach Ochse took advantage of the turnout to introduce and refine a little soccer dribbling, passing and shooting.
With positive comments like “Fun!”, “My kid wanted to comeback.” and “It is a nice introduction to soccer.”, Parents seemed very appreciative and happy with Ochse’s first “Kick Around”.
Asked about doing a “Kick Around” again next year Coach Ochse shared, ” I hope so. Hopefully we can get a bigger turnout. Maybe we’ll try it in the Spring.”
Ochse’s “Kick-Around” was a great idea and another example of the high-quality of life that families enjoy here in the Saucon Valley area.
