Elizabeth Agnes Johnson, 98, of Lower Saucon Township, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.

Elizabeth Agnes Johnson, 98, of Lower Saucon Township, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Allan Derwood Johnson Sr. She was born in Sandy Run, Luzerne County, Pa., on April 13, 1919 to the late Frank Kuzio, who was an anthracite coal miner and Anna (Blazoski). Betty graduated from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1939. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Labor Room from 1954 to 1979 for St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill, until retiring. She was a member of Bethany U.C.C., Bethlehem, where she was a peanut worker and attended Bible Study.

SURVIVORS

Children: Allan D. Johnson Jr. of Lower Saucon Township, Edgar F. and his wife Frances Johnson of Bethlehem, Charleen R. and her husband V. Robert Bishop of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren KerryAnn and her husband Chris Csencsits, Alexis and her husband Michael Sziy; great-grandchildren: Dane and Ty Csencsits, Shiloh and Rhaine Sziy. She was predeceased by siblings: Adolph, Josephine Koller, Thomas, Edward and Carl.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10:30 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. CONTRIBUTIONS

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, 600 W. Market St., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
