Nicholas McKeigue, 89, of Springtown died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Joan McKeigue. He was born in County Galway, Ireland, on March 7, 1928 to the late Matthew and Kate (Fallon) McKeigue. Nick worked as a mechanic for the New York City Transit Authority, retiring in 1993. Prior to that he worked as a shop foreman for several New York taxi companies. He was a member of Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus RC Church, Hellertown.

Children: Kevin and his wife Lisa of Berkeley Heights, N.J., Kathy McKeigue of Boston, Mass., Joanne McKeigue of Denver, Colo.; sisters: Mae Cullim of Morristown, N.J., Eileen Fitzpatrick of County Galway, Ireland; grandchildren: Daniel McKeigue of Boston, Mass., Anna McKeigue of Berkeley Heights, N.J., Benjamin and Aidan Nagler both of Denver, Colo.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at the church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Springtown Cemetery.
