Gertrude C. ‘Truie’ Wargo, 81, of Lower Saucon Township, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the dedicated and loving wife of the late Frank T. Wargo, who died in 2013.

Gertrude C. “Truie” Wargo, 81, of Lower Saucon Township, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the dedicated and loving wife of the late Frank T. Wargo, who died in 2013. She was born in Fountain Hill on Sept. 5, 1936 to the late Anthony B. and Elizabeth (McGarvey) Korves. Truie worked at Cedarbrook Nursing Home as a Supervisor of Central Supply for 25 years until her retirement. She was a life member of Beethoven Waldheim, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

Children: Eugene V. Barron of Emmaus, Donna M. (Mark) Chandler of Stafford, Va., Kathy Barron of Fountain Hill, Michael P. (Matilda) Barron of New Tripoli, Patrick J. Barron of Bethlehem, Adriann M. (Brian M.) Esteves of Allentown; sister-in-law: Katherine Korves of Northampton; nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings: Anthony, Gerald, Thomas Korves, Susan Ender.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. CONTRIBUTIONS

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local veterans organization of your choosing.
