Police have made an arrest in the weekend armed robbery of a gas station in Upper Bucks County.
Perkasie Borough Police say Shawn Gallagher, 21, of Green Lane, Montgomery County, was arrested Monday on charges related to the armed robbery of the Gulf station on N. Main Street in Sellersville Sunday.
Gallagher allegedly wore a mask and displayed a handgun during the afternoon robbery, in which police say he demanded cash and cigarettes.
“Gallagher was taken into custody at his Green Lane residence by troopers from the PA State Police Skippack Barracks,” Perkasie police said.
He was remanded to Montgomery County Prison on charges of resisting arrest and outstanding arrest warrants from the Lansdale Borough Police Department, the Montgomery County Probation Department and the State of New York, according to a post on the department’s Crimewatch webpage.
Police said Gallagher would be arraigned by video Friday on charges related to the armed robbery, which include: Robbery-Threat of Immediate Serious Injury (Felony 1), Prohibited Possession of a Firearm (Felony 2), Possession of an Instrument of Crime (Misdemeanor 1), two counts of Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another (Misdemeanor 1), four counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (Misdemeanor 2), Theft by Unlawful Taking (Misdemeanor 2) and Receiving Stolen Property (Misdemeanor 2).
Perkasie police thanked Pennsylvania State Police at Skippack, Lansdale borough police, the Marlborough Township Police Department and “the public, who provided numerous tips that led to this arrest.”
On Gallagher’s public Facebook page he states that he likes to “stay on my grind all the time. write music. party. chill. be me.”
Various publicly displayed photos of Gallagher on the page show him extending his middle finger, counting cash and holding a bottle of Hennessy cognac, among other things.
