Police Tuesday said Kimberly Ann Gerlach, who either lives in Easton or Emmaus according to online public records, was the sole occupant of the vehicle when the crash occurred on Friday, July 13.

“Ms. Gerlach was…subsequently transported to St. Luke’s Hospital,” police said. There she “consented to a blood draw and the results came back positive for a controlled substance,” police added.

News of Gerlach’s charges–which include DUI of a controlled substance and careless driving–was shared on the Lower Saucon Police Department’s new Crimewatch website, where residents can register to receive regular notifications from police about criminal activity and upcoming events, submit tips, complete a Vacation Home Check form and much more.
