Expect Significant Delays for I-78 Median Barrier Repair, PennDOT Says

Lane restrictions for median barrier repairs on I-78 West between the Rt. 611 (Easton) and Rt. 412 (Hellertown) exits on Oct. 23 are likely to result in “signficant delays,” which motorists should expect, PennDOT said in an announcement about upcoming road work Friday.78 delays

The repairs are scheduled to be made between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on that stretch of highway, which is located in Williams Township, West Easton, Lower Saucon Township and the City of Bethlehem.

Motorists who are traveling through the work zone should use caution.

Lower Saucon Township motorists can also expect to experience delays due to lane restrictions with flagging for crack sealing on Polk Valley Road on Oct. 22 and on Black River Road–between Bingen Road and Rt. 378–on Oct. 24 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Nearby in South Bethlehem motorists should be aware that PennDOT will be milling and paving Broadway between Rt. 378 (Wyandotte Street) and Fiot Avenue Oct. 24-25 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be lane restrictions with flagging for this work.

All of the above road work will be performed weather permitting.
