The Hellertown Area Library this week announced that there will be two vacancies on the library’s Board of Trustees, effective Dec. 31, 2018.
The successful candidates must reside in either the Borough of Hellertown or Lower Saucon Township, and one trustee will be appointed from each municipality.
Trustees attend monthly board meetings and serve on at least one board committee.
Trustees govern library procedures and policies, and help to promote community interest in the library.

The trustees are appointed by Hellertown Borough Council and the Lower Saucon Township Council, respectively, upon recommendation from the library board of trustees.
Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Hellertown Area Library, 409 Constitution Ave., Hellertown.
