Ty Csencsits
On Saturday night with their victory over the Lehighton Indians, Saucon Valley advanced into the District XI semifinals. The Panthers got off to a great start and never looked back. No doubt, with 56 Panther points put on the scoreboard, there were many great plays throughout the game to choose from for this week’s Panther Play of the Week.
With the score knotted at 6-6 near the end of the 1st-quarter, the Panthers leaned on a couple of freshmen to make a play for their team. Saucon Valley rolled the dice on 4th & 8 near midfield and came up big.
Panther quarterback , Dante Mahaffey will flash a little fake to Ian Csicsek, set his feet and deliver a strike to Ty Csencsits. Csencsits, who found himself sandwiched between two Indian defenders, keeps his focus and secures the catch for a huge Panther 1st-down. Saucon Valley kept their drive alive and went on to build a 14-6 lead two plays later.
