Sylvia Jean (Kressler) Mease, 81, of Bethlehem, formerly of Kintnersville, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at her residence. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.

Sylvia Jean (Kressler) Mease, 81, of Bethlehem, formerly of Kintnersville, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at her residence.Mease She was the wife of the late George Charles Mease, who died Oct. 2, 2017. She was born in Quakertown on Feb. 18, 1937 to the late Herbert S. and Meda M. (Balliet) Kressler. Sylvia worked for the former Moore Business Forms and Lustig’s Meats, both of Quakertown; Coopersburg Sports; and as a bus driver for the Palisades School District. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Springtown, and participated in the Samaritan’s Purse, Bell Choir and Bible Study. She participated with the Springtown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

SURVIVORS

Children: Jeffrey Charles (Sandra L.) Mease of Hellertown, Penny Jean (Jeffrey E.) Trees of Lancaster, Becky Sue Mease (Tony Barber) of Harrisburg; grandchildren: Caitlin Mease (Timothy) Ferraro, CPT Ryan Daniel Trees, U.S. Army, and Lindsey Nicole Trees. She was predeceased by siblings: Nina Hoffman, Florence Angstadt, Herbert H., Howard, Montford, Kenneth, Harold Kressler.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Springtown Cemetery. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
