Mary Ellen Oberdorf, 74, of Emmaus, died at home on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. Born in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of Bonita M. (Sonntag) Oberdorf and the late Richard C. Oberdorf.
She was a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned her BA in Education. Mary was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Emmaus. She began her working career as a special education teacher, pausing to raise her family. She returned to the workforce at AT&T for several years and then as a successful independent consultant. Mary was devoted to her family, friends and church.

Mother; daughters: Julie M. Hubell and her husband Richard and Amy L. Herron and her husband William; grandchildren: Kate and Claire Hubell, and Jake and Michael Herron; former husband: James H, Corey; sister: Alice A. Raivel and her husband Earl.
SERVICES
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Arrangements are by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
