This Week in Panther Wrestling: Week Three

Even though Colonial League wrestling is on holiday break, the Saucon Valley wrestling program continues to challenge themselves seeking out the best competition available.  A short week after wrestling in the Beast of the East, the Panthers travelled cross-town to and participated in this past weekend’s Bethlehem Holiday ‘Hurricane’ Classic. By design, the Hurricane is a grueling tournament consisting of 32 public schools.  It is perhaps the toughest public school wrestling tourney in the nation.

Most teams are regional, but Arlington-Martin (Texas), Shenendehowa (New York), and Owings Mills (Maryland) joined the two-day bash hosted by Bethlehem’s Liberty High School.

Coach’s Quote:

“I thought our team had a really good showing this past weekend.  It was another high-profile tournament that exposed our kids to some of the top wrestlers in the state and in the country.  We learned a lot from this past weekend and our kids are excited to keep working hard and making gains.”
