Lifelong Local Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday

Lifelong Hellertown/Pleasant Valley resident Kenneth Quier turned 100 on Feb. 22, 2019. A birthday celebration for him was held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley Sunday, with more than 50 attendees present.

Lifelong Hellertown/Pleasant Valley resident Kenneth Quier turned 100 on Feb. 22, 2019. Born in Hellertown on Feb. 22, 1919, he was the eldest of four siblings. He had a younger brother and twin sisters.

Quier, who now lives in Hellertown, worked at Bethlehem Steel for many years.

He was confirmed at and is a longtime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley, Springfield Township, Bucks County.

A birthday celebration for Quier was held at the church on Sunday, Feb. 24 with more than 50 attendees present. Notable attendees included two members of Congress: Rep. Craig T. Staats and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick.

Quier also received birthday greetings from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf.
