This is Saucon Valley Middle School’s third year in a row to win an award at the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” ceremony. Saucon Valley Middle School’s 8th grade iTeam won The Outstanding Editing Award this year. The team competed against twenty-five other regional schools for eleven video awards!
On Tuesday, over 900 people attended the awards’ ceremony held at SteelStacks including students, teachers, administrators, and representatives from all of the participating companies.
The competition was a great learning experience for all of the students who participated. The video contest’s focal point was on careers in manufacturing as well as the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in students’ education today.
A special thanks to the SVSD administrators who support our children’s education and endeavors. An extra special thanks to Victaulic for their hospitality and support! Also, thank you to the MRC (Manufacturers Resource Center) and all of the sponsors who make this competition possible. The contest not only educates our students, but it inspires them to have future goals and dreams!
Great job iTeam, the Source is with you!
