April is known for its showers, but most people would prefer that they don’t fall on outdoor activities like Saturday’s Saucon Valley Easter Egg Hunt, which was held at Hellertown’s Dimmick Park at 10 a.m.

In spite of the wet weather that preceded the rain-or-shine event, countless families came to the park to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs at various age-specific areas set up by the Hellertown Historical Society and others; volunteers who help make the annual free community event possible.

As you can see from the smiles in these photos, it was a fun day for families.

Happy Easter!
