Windows Smashed, Purses Stolen from Cars in Polk Valley Park

The Lower Saucon Township Police Department wants to identify whoever is responsible for two smash-and-grab vehicle breakins that occurred at Polk Valley Park Sunday afternoon.

The Lower Saucon Township Police Department wants to identify whoever is responsible for two smash-and-grab vehicle breakins that occurred at Polk Valley Park Sunday afternoon.

In a post on the department’s Crimewatch page Monday, police said officers responded to the park at around 4:35 p.m.

The vehicles that were damaged were parked in the stone lot near the dog park, they said.

“Both vehicles had a window broken by an unknown object and the actor(s) reached in a removed a purse from each of the vehicle,” police said. “Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious is asked to phone the police department or submit an anonymous tip on our Crimewatch Tipline.”

In addition to making sure that unattended vehicles are locked, police urged residents to keep valuables left inside them out of sight.
