Saucon Harvest Festival

This year’s Saucon Harvest Festival raised nearly $11,000 for local youth sports organizations, including Saucon Valley Wrestling and Saucon Valley Youth Basketball. Representatives from both of those organizations visited Lost Tavern Brewing in Hellertown Wednesday night to receive checks for more than $5,400 each. The money will be used to help pay for expenses such as new uniforms. The Harvest Festival, which is held in the borough’s Dimmick Park each September, features live local bands, beer and wine tents, food trucks and more. Founded by South Italy Imports and now overseen by Lost Tavern, the festival donates all of the funds it raises to different youth sports each year. Pictured from left to right at the check presentation are festival volunteer Diane Palik, Lost Tavern co-owner Anthony Gangi (kneeling), volunteer Brandon Palik, wrestling coach Chad Shirk, Hellertown mayor David Heintzelman, Saucon Valley Wrestling head youth coach Ben Chunko (kneeling), Saucon Valley Youth Basketball volunteer Mike Wechtler and Lost Tavern co-owner Rob Grim.
