Hellertown Lions, Water Authority Board Spruce Up Pavilion (Photos)

The tables in the wooded Alfred J. Fritchman Reservoir Park in Lower Saucon Township will soon be looking a lot better thanks to the volunteer efforts of Hellertown Lions Club members and Hellertown Borough Authority board members, who teamed up to sand, prime and paint several of them Sunday.

The tables in the wooded Alfred J. Fritchman Reservoir Park in Lower Saucon Township will soon be looking a lot better thanks to the volunteer efforts of Hellertown Lions Club members and the Hellertown Borough Authority, who teamed up to sand, prime and paint several of them Sunday.

The park is owned by the Borough Authority, however the pavilion was built many years ago by Lions, who continue to use it and help maintain it to this day.

There are more than 20 tables in the pavilion, so the project is not yet complete.

Reservoir Park is a popular place to birdwatch and is also known for hosting the Keystone Region MG Club’s annual British Car Show each June.
