Just in time to help brighten the holidays for local families in need, the Lower Saucon Township Police Department will launch its annual Fill the Police Car Food Drive on Friday, Oct. 25.

The food drive aims to replenish the shelves of the New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church food bank, which is located on Apples Church Road in the township.

The food bank is currently low on canned spaghetti, ravioli and soup. All nonperishable food donations are welcome, however.

Residents can drop off donations any time between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at two locations: the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, Pa., and the Lower Saucon Authority building, which is adjacent to the township municipal complex at 3706 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, Pa.
