Joseph R. Luybli (1953 – 2024)
Joseph R. Luybli, 71, of Lower Saucon Township, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Bethlehem Campus.
He was the husband of Diane M. (Schmidt) Luybli. Joe was born in Bethlehem on May 30, 1953 to the late Joseph J. and Shirley Ann (Beil) Luybli. He was an IT Manager at Air Products, Trexlertown, for 36 years until retiring in 2012. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and the beach. Joseph also enjoyed playing golf. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Joseph was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 349 for 14 years, teaching the youth about the value of leadership and supporting the community.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 49 years; he is survived by his sons: Joseph N. (Kristina) of Hellertown, Kevin S. of Lower Saucon Township; brothers-in-law: Bruce N. (Brenda) Schmidt of Hellertown, Brian J. (Susan) Schmidt of Rockville, Md.; six grandchildren: Kayla, Elish, Olivia, Joey, Aubryn, Kilian. He was predeceased by brother: Kenneth A. Luybli.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to Joseph’s visitation period from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The visitation period will be followed by the service at 6 p.m. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans immediately following the service.
