Southern Lehigh School News & Notes is a new regular feature about recent, current and upcoming Southern Lehigh School District events and news, exclusive to Saucon Source. The Southern Lehigh School District serves approximately 3,100 students from Upper Saucon Township, Lower Milford Township and Coopersburg borough.
SCHOOL BOARD MEETING: The next meeting will be held in the Southern Lehigh High School Boardroom, 5800 Main St., Center Valley, Pa., on Monday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m.
PRESIDENTS DAY WEEKEND CLOSURE: There will be no school for students on Friday, Feb. 14 and Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of the Presidents Day weekend/holiday.
ALUMNI STUDENTS & EDUCATION VERIFICATIONS: Southern Lehigh High School has partnered with Parchment to order and send alumni transcripts securely as well as verify education with third party background companies. All requests must be completed using a Parchment account and payment can be completed online. If alumni have had a name change since they graduated, they should list the name they used as students at Southern Lehigh when requesting a transcript.
SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM: SLSD will be hosting its second parent information nights on Friday, March 21 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Liberty Bell Elementary School in Coopersburg. MIDDLE SCHOOL YEARBOOKS NOW ON SALE: 2025 SLMS yearbooks are on sale for $35 until Friday, Jan. 31 and can be ordered online.
ROBOTICS TEAM GOING TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: Southern Lehigh Middle School’s FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team placed third overall in Saturday’s competition, earning them a spot at the State Championship in March. The team consists of Bryan L., Daytona C., Emma H., Ethan P., Fenway N., Isabella A., Kasvi B., Liam K., Paul G. and Rhea L.
